The tradition of Christmas tree
The tradition of Christmas tree comes from Germany. In the 16th century German Christians locate in their houses the decked trees. Some was built Christmas pyramids and decorated them with lights and plants. Candles was hunged on a Christmas tree by Martin Luther in the same time. Inspiration for candles appears during walk. Martin Luther one winter evening saw brillinace of stars shining amidst evergreens.

Only a few know that the most 19th century American citizens treated holiday trees as oddity. The first information about holiday tree in that area appeared in 1830s and say about German settlers as a owners of Christmas tree. Somebody say that the German settlers had holiday trees even in 1747. However, as late as the 1840s holiday trees were seen as pagan symbols and they weren’t accepted by the most of American citizens.
The history of holiday carols
The word “carol” actually means dance or a song of joy and praise. Initially carols were pagan songs those were played at the celebration of Winter Solstice when members of event danced round stone circles. Early Christians took over pagan customs and prepared Christian songs. In 129 the song “Angel’s Hymn” was known and played at a Christmas celebrations in Rome.
Other Christmas hymn was created in 760 by Comas from Jerusalem. Then more and more composers all over the Europe started creating holiday carols. But the most of holiday carols was written in Latin and because of that a lots of people were not intrested in singing Christmas songs. Holiday tree and holiday carols are amazing customs those are worth keep between generations. The knowledge about long history of Christmas tree and Christmas songs makes them more unusual.
